Singapore Cardiac Society is proud to be the host of the 1st Asia-Pacific Heart Rhythm Society Scientific Session (APHRS 2008) that will be in Singapore in November 2008.
With improvement in living standards and health care in Asia, the number of people living longer is increasing rapidly. This increasingly aging population will result in an increasing number of patients with atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation can result in significant morbidity and increase mortality. This presents an ever-increasing challenge for us to investigate and treat these patients. The meeting will discuss all the new and exciting developments in the field of cardiac electrophysiology in terms of the scientific, technological and clinical aspects. This meeting will also encourage all doctors in Asia to have a better understanding of the management of this important arrhythmia.
Singapore is a beautiful and dynamic city where you get to experience a multicultural society living harmoniously under one community. Geographically located in the centre of South East Asia, Singapore offers a blend of East meets West heritage. Its unique multicultural society portrays tradition as well as modernity of the world today. You could shop for whatever goods from all over the world, feast on some of the greatest culinary delights as well as attend world-class artistic performances.
I am certain you will have a marvelous time in Singapore, the city that never sleeps! See you in Singapore in 2008.
